Benedict Cumberbatch from BCC’s “Sherlock” will be playing Khan Noonien Singh in J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek 2. It’s not a shock. If anything, it’s a relief. Ricardo Montalban’s iconic sci-fi villain remains one of the most memorable villains in the history of the Star Trek universe, and insures that Abrams’ follow up is starting out on sturdy ground. via CraveOnline

When asked by CNN whether he would appear in the follow-up, Nimoy replied, “We’re talking. We’re talking.”
Editors at movie site Ain’t It Cool News then reported they have “compelling independent confirmation that Nimoy is absolutely in the new film.”
